Some of my photos were included in LA Weekly‘s article featuring Art Los Angeles Contemporary and the Opening Night performance by artist Alison O’Daniel with the Centennial High School marching band (Compton).
This past May I was asked to shoot some photos of Evan Nesbit in his studio for his gallery Roberts & Tilton. I’m always intrigued with the artist process, so following Evan around the studio was a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
How cool is it that APW featured Katie & Mike’s Joshua Tree Hicksville Trailer Palace wedding this month?! I was so happy that they went as gaga for it as I did. Katie & Mike’s wedding was truly a sight to be seen… a small group of family and friends lovin’ on each other in the desert for a weekend. What a dream, some would call it paradise!
Wedding season is in full effect and I’ve been keepin’ it busy, keepin’ it real.
I thought I’d take this time to stop and wave my hand around. I have a moment to myself after shooting 4 weddings in 4 weekends, but without this mid-wedding season breather update, how would you know? I have to write this for myself as well. It’s easy to write off all this running around as a “blur”. But it was so much more than a “blur”. It was 4 weekends of traveling to 4 destinations to photograph 8 really wonderful people. Everyone has their own story, their own worlds, and I’m constantly thankful to be invited into the fold, at least just for a day.
I’m finally doing it, I’m visiting my motherland! Corey & I booked our tickets to Cuba for mid-November and I’ll be shooting photos along the way for a photo essay feature on CheapAir.com‘s travel blog! I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather do more than document my first-time in Cuba and share it with people who also are eager to discover more about this beautiful and isolated place.
