I’m happy to announce that Christy & Stuart’s Prom wedding was featured on Offbeat Bride wedding blog today! Offbeat Bride is the web’s most popular and most inclusive website catered to nontraditional wedding planning.
Haylee & Sonia did it their way and eloped to Hawaii, just the two of them in paradise. After coming back home to Los Angeles, they planned a special candle-lighting ceremony for their immediate family and close friends as a formal act of unity. I met up with them in Downtown L.A. for some portraits at the perfectly-picturesque Walt Disney Concert Hall, before going to the William Mulholland Memorial Fountain in Los Feliz for some family portraits. Afterwards we relocated to their home in East Los Angeles for the drinks, the candle lighting ceremony, and dinner, all in the comfort of their backyard! I love shooting custom-designed days that are thoughtfully planned and meaningful for everyone involved. There are so many ways to celebrate and bring people together, so let’s party!
This past June, Lauren and Jason flew me up to San Francisco to photograph their city hall elopement. It would be just the three of us (I love, love being the only witness), with Lauren and Jason planning a party later in the year with family and friends. We had such an epic day together, we sat in the car afterwards with joy-hangovers, completely beat, but grateful. I mean, at one point we had cheeseburgers and waffles at a diner overlooking a fog drenched ocean — I just can’t think of anything else that makes me smile more.
Are you ready for this prom wedding that I shot last August?! My goodness, I had so much fun photographing this party. I always appreciate when people think “outside the box” and really, your wedding should be anything and everything you want it to be. With Christy and Stuart, they did just exactly that. I believe first and foremost that you make the rules of the party, and I’ll be as happy as a clam to photograph exactly how it went down. Promise.
We’re coming up on the 2 year anniversary of these two, and since this elopement has always been a favorite of mine, I thought I’d share it on the blog today. Cindy & Eric already had an upcoming wedding planned in the mid-west, where they were also relocating for Eric’s new job. But Joshua Tree was too special to them and they wanted to say good-bye their own way, so they decided to elope there on the down-low. It was just the two of them, an officiant, and me as their witness and photographer.
Namaste! As promised, here is the final installment of Nikki & Rohit’s two-day Indian wedding celebration featuring the wedding ceremony photos I shot. Rohit’s mother made sure to consult with the proper authorities on which date and time would be the most auspicious for them to be married. It was settled that December 16th, 2015 at approximately 8:00 PM would be the most conducive to success. I really do believe this was a charmed date, as it also happened to be the 3rd birthday of Gina Clyne Photography. There was so much to celebrate, it made my heart ache.
I’m back to share with you Part 1 of Day 2 of Nikki & Rohit’s Indian Wedding! The first half of the the day we spent taking formal portraits of the two of them, along with their dearest friends who made up the bridal party that traveled to Goa, India to join them for their day. It was wonderful to soak in our surroundings, while taking relaxed portraits around the resort, and have a moment of calm together before the hustle and bustle of the ceremony that would be taking place later that evening.

I’m really excited to be sharing part one of Nikki & Rohit’s wedding photos from last December. Nikki & Rohit had a destination wedding in Goa, which is located in the southwestern region of India, at the Stonewater Eco Resort. I feel so honored to be let into such an intimate inner circle to document a vibrant two-day celebration, almost 9,000 miles away from home. Friends and family members also traveled from all over the world to party-down and wish these two well, which their guests had no problem doing well into the night before starting all over again the next day. (Don’t even get me started on the dancing, I could watch Rohit and his family and friends dance all night long). Truly, there is nothing that makes me happier than hanging out with people who really know how to celebrate! If it takes a couple of days to accomplish that, great, I’ll be there.
I thought I’d share Shaena & Gabriel’s engagement shoot since I’m gearing up to shoot their wedding at the end of the month. We met up on a Saturday afternoon and strolled around Downtown Los Angeles to shoot some portraits and get to know each other before their day!
How cool is it that APW featured Katie & Mike’s Joshua Tree Hicksville Trailer Palace wedding this month?! I was so happy that they went as gaga for it as I did. Katie & Mike’s wedding was truly a sight to be seen… a small group of family and friends lovin’ on each other in the desert for a weekend. What a dream, some would call it paradise!
