I’m grateful for the little business I built, ✨Gina Clyne Photography✨, for many reasons, but recently I’m grateful for it’s healing powers (giving me an avenue to heal through image making), and for being a vehicle to see the world. I’m thrilled to say that I will be shooting Cailin & Lucas’ wedding in Fukuoka, Japan 🇯🇵 in 2020. What an honor it will be to document the place that Lucas grew up, the family who still lives there, and their wedding ceremony at the Munakata Taisha shrine ⛩ with their closest family and friends.
Thank you, thank you! For the 3rd year in a row, I have been selected as one of the winners of WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards!
My clients are so good to me and their kind words blow me away every time. I am so lucky to be able to collaborate with such beautiful humans.

“As both a photographer and a human, Gina is amazing. It was such a treat to fly her out to my hometown and have her capture the charm of the small coastal town where I grew up. In all honesty, I cried when I looked through our photo gallery. Our wedding venue and the surrounding area was hit hard by a hurricane just a month after our wedding, so having this moment in time—with the landscape captured so gracefully in pictures of those closest to me—is something my family and I will treasure forever. Thank you, Gina. Brian and I are so grateful.” — Lisa & Brian (married September 8, 2018 in Panama City, Florida)

WHO ARE WE?
☽ I AM…
… intense about my love of art, music, & Los Angeles history. When I’m not taking photographs for work or for play, you’ll find me watching a band play in a dark bar somewhere or strolling the streets of Los Angeles, thinking about the power of Place.
… a feminist, a small business owner, & the daughter of a Cuban-Chinese immigrant who came to the U.S. seeking a better tomorrow. To be a business owner, like my mother, brings me great pride.
… romantic, but not precious. I instinctively search for beauty, but desire meaning & functionality.
… earnest & focused, yet easily recognizes when to laugh at myself.
… mischievous & always in the mood for a good party (my favorite kinds are house parties and motel parties).
… someone who wants to link up with like-minded individuals who crave to make their wedding-day experience their own.
☼ YOU ARE…
… thoughtful, inclusive, empathetic, playful, & adventuresome.
… someone who likes to flip things on their head & do things your way.
… someone who appreciates beauty in wedding photography but ultimately craves the captured moment.
… someone who makes loving choices, whether it’s the choice to be rooted in family rituals or throw a wedding that’s re-invented by design, you believe weddings can be whatever you will them to be.
… moved by the creative world & values authentic photos that trigger feeling.
… likely exhausted from searching for a wedding photographer, only to find more of the same — until now.

“If at this point you’re starting to wonder if this Gina Clyne person is possibly not real, but an avatar of the perfect wedding photographer, well, I wouldn’t blame you. But rest assured that I’ve gotten to meet and hang with Gina in person, and she is every bit as excellent as all of this and more.” — APW Blog
I was away in Jamaica 🇯🇲 for 5 days this past September shooting Alex & Howard’s wedding at The Rockhouse Hotel in Negril. I’m still recovering from all the dancing I witnessed (perma-grin won’t unstick) and I freely floated in the Caribbean Sea and watched as tropical rains came and went. But really my favorite thing was being on Howard’s home country and meeting his kind family and closest friends and seeing the happiness on Alex’s face when she got to show her American family and friends a country that has grown close to her heart. Thank you again for including me in the party! Here’s a sneak peek of images (and a video of dancing I shot!) for you all. ✌️ Bless Up! & Respect!

Namaste! As promised, here is the final installment of Nikki & Rohit’s two-day Indian wedding celebration featuring the wedding ceremony photos I shot. Rohit’s mother made sure to consult with the proper authorities on which date and time would be the most auspicious for them to be married. It was settled that December 16th, 2015 at approximately 8:00 PM would be the most conducive to success. I really do believe this was a charmed date, as it also happened to be the 3rd birthday of Gina Clyne Photography. There was so much to celebrate, it made my heart ache.
