I’m grateful for the little business I built, ✨Gina Clyne Photography✨, for many reasons, but recently I’m grateful for it’s healing powers (giving me an avenue to heal through image making), and for being a vehicle to see the world. I’m thrilled to say that I will be shooting Cailin & Lucas’ wedding in Fukuoka, Japan 🇯🇵 next March. What an honor it will be to document the place that Lucas grew up, the family who still lives there, and their wedding ceremony at the Munakata Taisha shrine ⛩ with their closest family and friends.
This past April I made my way down to Orange County to capture Emilie and Erik’s wedding in the backyard for Emilie’s family home. I’ve said it before, but I love backyard weddings. It makes so much sense to me that a wedding would take place somewhere as intimate as a home. I had so much fun keeping up with all the Danish wedding traditions, which I definitely googled post-wedding shoot for a better understanding of what I was witnessing and documenting. All the texts below in italics are things I found online that I copied-and-pasted, to give you an idea of what I am talking about!
Namaste! As promised, here is the final installment of Nikki & Rohit’s two-day Indian wedding celebration featuring the wedding ceremony photos I shot. Rohit’s mother made sure to consult with the proper authorities on which date and time would be the most auspicious for them to be married. It was settled that December 16th, 2015 at approximately 8:00 PM would be the most conducive to success. I really do believe this was a charmed date, as it also happened to be the 3rd birthday of Gina Clyne Photography. There was so much to celebrate, it made my heart ache.
I’m back to share with you Part 1 of Day 2 of Nikki & Rohit’s Indian Wedding! The first half of the the day we spent taking formal portraits of the two of them, along with their dearest friends who made up the bridal party that traveled to Goa, India to join them for their day. It was wonderful to soak in our surroundings, while taking relaxed portraits around the resort, and have a moment of calm together before the hustle and bustle of the ceremony that would be taking place later that evening.

I’m really excited to be sharing part one of Nikki & Rohit’s wedding photos from last December. Nikki & Rohit had a destination wedding in Goa, which is located in the southwestern region of India, at the Stonewater Eco Resort. I feel so honored to be let into such an intimate inner circle to document a vibrant two-day celebration, almost 9,000 miles away from home. Friends and family members also traveled from all over the world to party-down and wish these two well, which their guests had no problem doing well into the night before starting all over again the next day. (Don’t even get me started on the dancing, I could watch Rohit and his family and friends dance all night long). Truly, there is nothing that makes me happier than hanging out with people who really know how to celebrate! If it takes a couple of days to accomplish that, great, I’ll be there.
